Dennis Rask
Seraph Hunter commander
Dennis Rask is a veteran Seraph Hunter and one of Joel’s oldest friends. He brings formidable experience to contaminated battlefields, along with a destructive certainty that alarms the engineers beside him.
Dennis knew Joel before he became High Marshal and has dragged him out of battles others considered lost. His first full description places him in older, broader armour than the other Hunters, covered in repairs from long campaigns. His loyalty has been demonstrated through survival and rescue.
At Gatehold his anti-Seraph instincts collide with Daniel’s need to preserve the core and its machinery. His deadpan exchanges carry humour, but his competence and the danger of contamination remain real. Annette’s insistence on keeping a living Seraph witness also sets a clear limit on his preferred solution.
