Ortheva Sair
Veyr-Khal of the Talyrn Continuance
Ortheva Sair is the Talyrn Continuance’s supreme military coordinator. She assesses the House through its decisions, capabilities and intentions, with the interests of her own people firmly in view.
Ortheva receives the brothers without a ceremonial guard or throne. Her questions test their boarding decisions, the seizure of Ardent and the strategic consequences of stabilizing Gate Seventeen. She accepts that protected access and a hidden homeland are not subjects to be casually surrendered in conversation.
Her meetings and later operational exchanges give the Talyrn an independent political and military voice. Cooperation must be understood as cooperation between authorities, rather than an automatic transfer of Talyrn command to Joel.
Joel: counterpart in strategic negotiation.
Anton, Christer and Daniel: officers whose reported actions she examines individually.
Talyrn Continuance: her primary responsibility and source of authority.
