Overview

A centralized human hegemon that absorbs worlds through standardized command, administration and military force.

Full account

The Solar Dominion of the Iron Throne measures, audits and binds worlds into lane law. It treats autonomy as a weakness to be overcome by civilizational-scale organization.

Aurelian Voss, the First Sovereign, remains a source of political legitimacy through preserved records and doctrine. That authority is institutional, not supernatural.

The Ascendant Legions are engineered soldiers used where the larger imperial machine responds too slowly. They remain vulnerable to attrition, physiological costs and commanders who overestimate them.

The Line Fleets provide mass military power. Compliance corvettes police traffic, Praetor cruisers disable opposition and carry seizure command, Ascension carriers deliver Legion cohorts, and Reliquary tenders sustain the force. Each class serves a different part of the same campaign.

The Compliance Descent turns boarding into a transfer of control: suppress communications, declare the terms, breach in coordinated waves, then secure engineering, command and authentication records. Captured ships are stabilized and brought into the Dominion chain of command.

Ordinary line infantry hold what the fleets seize. Ascendant Legions intervene where speed and force outweigh their considerable cost. Iron Liturgists are state engineers and technical custodians who maintain certified equipment, preserve archives and assess captured infrastructure.

Black iron armour, bronze structural ribs and ivory identification fields give the Dominion a common visual language. Protected command citadels and deep battery decks convey imperial scale; launch galleries, inspection collars and repair gantries reveal what each ship actually does.
