Overview

Beyond Pluto, the Terran Federal Protectorate controls the gateway between the Known Reach and the inner Sol System.

The outer threshold

The Pluto Gate is fully controlled by the Terran Federal Protectorate and positioned beyond Pluto to keep heavy interstellar traffic away from the inner Sol System.

An artificial frontier city

Its relocation transformed Terran infrastructure. Freighters are inspected, fueled, repaired, and sorted before they ever approach Earth, Mars, or the Crown of Sol. Customs stations, shipyards, relay arrays, quarantine platforms, and logistics depots have grown around the new transit zone.

Strategic depth

Foreign warships can be identified and contained at the edge of the system. If hostile traffic emerges, it appears billions of kilometers from Earth. Moving the arrival point outward gives Terra strategic depth.

The road to Terran industry

What began as a security measure has become one of Sol’s largest infrastructure projects: an artificial frontier city linking the wider Known Reach directly to Terran industry. Trade enters at Pluto. Sol decides what goes farther.
