Overview
Bring a boarding team to a controlled sealed entry point.
Role and service
Latch closes the final gap between ships with precision manoeuvring rather than a ramming charge. A short telescoping collar and folded gripping feet establish a sealed connection before the team enters. Its protected tool housing serves the docking and entry operation.
Recognising the hull
Crescent shoulders surround a blunt forward docking collar, with porcelain-white armour, cobalt bands and bronze clamps.
Operational limits
A close approach and viable docking surface are essential. The cutter cannot simply pass through an intact hull.
