Overview
Travelling as Joel Hart, the High Marshal earns trust before revealing his authority. He calls for Kestrel’s relief and later follows a prisoner escort into Ardent’s hidden custody system.
Full account
Joel boards the Wayward Star as a paying passenger under the name Joel Hart. The Kestrel crisis reveals his House identity, but Sera keeps command. His Crimson-priority request draws Vigil ships from patrol and an Oath group from its existing assignment.
Chapter 02 begins in public command clothing at the restored Kestrel. The brothers subsequently return to civilian cover and accept an assault contract aboard Mara Vale’s Resolute Dawn. Garran Holt’s prisoner Marek Soren is the centre of an escort operation bound for Ardent Judicial Relay.
Joel’s command pistol is carried beneath his anatomical-left arm for a right-hand crossdraw. His left-side augmentation, slimmer build and command configuration distinguish him from Anton.
The suits are initially transported unworn. Full armour begins with Mara’s authorization during the ambush. Anton’s left shoulder is damaged in Scene 08; the later armour sheet retains that gouge. After the fighting, civilian coats return over flexible undersuits.
At Ardent, the investigation exposes fraudulent custody and Project Shepherd. House intervention targets Special Custody while protecting civilian traffic and preserving evidence. The supporting fleet remains dark. The Chapter 02 record does not identify the non-human buyers as the Seraph Throne.
